Wellbeing @ ASC

Breakfast@ASC

The best way to start the day is with a nutritious breakfast. Often mornings are hectic and many students get to school without having breakfast.

Breakfast is available to all students 3 mornings a week, Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Students can drop in for a warm slice of toast or two and some fruit.

A HUGE thank you to Coles who have generously offered to provide food for ASC’s breakfasts and to Armidale Rotary who have kindly supported the initiative.

Homework Centre

Tuesdays 3.30 - 5pm

Homework Centre has started up again for 2020!

Students meet at the Library on Tuesday afternoons after school, enjoy afternoon tea and then settle in for some extra tutoring support until 4:45pm. Students who live in town are dropped home in the school minibus.

All students (years 7-12) are welcome and can collect a permission note to attend the Homework Centre from Mrs Albertson, the front desk in the Library, or available from LINK.

Safe on Social

Safe on Social Media’s presentations and workshops are entertaining and informative. Filled with real-life examples, anecdotes and detailed recommendations they engage with their audience by pointing out better ways to interact positively online. They provide students with the tools necessary to use social media safely. Safe on Social presentations for year 7, 8 and 12 are on the 24th and 25th of March.

In the Cyber safety sessions students will be listening to information on

RU OK?

To help students to make strong connections with staff who can help, these posters can be found around the school. The R U OK? posters identify specific staff who will support students.
