Stage 5

Stage 5 Update
Stage 5 have settled into the new school year very well indeed!
There are a wide variety of extra-curricular activities available at Armidale Secondary College and the students in this cohort have embraced the opportunities presented that complement their in-class learning.
Many students within our stage have performed exceptionally well both at the Twilight Swimming Carnival, and in the North West Swimming competition. In particular we congratulate Gideon Webster and Clio Knight, both in year 9, who broke records in the North West Swimming Carnival and were age champions for their division.
The upcoming musical has provided opportunity for students to participate in a range of roles and responsibilities. Students in Stage 5 are undertaking lead and supporting roles as well as participating in the vital behind-the-scenes crew who are learning valuable and interesting skills, such as lighting and the creation of backdrops. We look forward to supporting our students later this month at the musical, which promises to be exceptional.
Year 9 are enthusiastically undertaking Project Based Learning and have been visiting other classes to provide suggestive input as well as gain inspiration from their peers' beginning projects.
Year 10 have been focusing on Careers investigations in CREW and have been undertaking various career-focused activities in lessons. This is an exciting year for the year 10s exploring their extensive options and opportunities.
