Swim Team

It’s not too late to join Northlea’s Swim Team!  Ms. Roberts and Ms. Siurna are inviting additional participation on the swim team.  Permission forms are available outside Room 105. Practices begin

January 22nd – see schedule below for practice dates.  We ask that families who are able to do so, please share $25 to cover lifeguards and pool rental.  We do not wish for finances to be a barrier to involvement so please stay involved with or without the fee.

The Swim Meet is usually late March or early April.

Home and School Meeting

Please join us on Tuesday, February 6th at 6:30 PM.  In addition to regular Home and School business, the school will be sharing a multi-year overview of our specialized Early Years Literacy Project.

Please also see the Dates to Remember section for the Home and School Meetings in April, May and June.

Family Fun Night - Thursday, March 1, 2018

French Public Speaking Contest

Special shout out to Mme Gardner and the Grades 4-8 French team for their involvement in le concours d'art oratoire.

Please read Mme Gardner's full update for all of the relevant information.  Mme Gardner has also shared a brief summary below:

As many of you are aware, each year at this time we begin to prepare our students to participate in le concours d’art oratoire. Le concours d’art oratoire is an annual public speaking event for students in Grades 4 – 12 studying French as a Second Language in Ontario schools. It is an opportunity for us to integrate public speaking into our regular classroom activities. It is estimated that each year, over 22 000 students across Ontario take part in le concours d’art oratoire

Safety At Drop-Off in the Morning

Thank you to all of the parents who have been using the Kiss N' Ride as well as parking and crossing legally in the neighbourhood.  We need everyone's assistance to foster a safe environment.  Your help goes a long way.
