SOCKTOBER APPEAL

Today saw an array of colourful and crazy socks. Thank you for all your support and congratulations to the Social Justice Leaders from Prep to Year 6, especially, LilySophia, Lily, Nicholas and Luca E for their hard work in driving this social justice initiative.

All money raised is sent to Catholic Mission to support educating teachers and students in Myanmar.

Today also finds us celebrating All Saints Day. This day, also known as All Hallow’s Day, is a Christian celebration in honour of all the saints from history. The Christian festival of All Saints Day comes from a conviction that there is spiritual connection between those in Heaven and on Earth. In the Catholic tradition, the day honours all those who have passed on to the Kingdom of Heaven.  Whilst we reflect upon Saints of the past, just as importantly we think about the amazing people who are making a difference to those around them today. This can be on a global stage as well as in a local setting. May we each have the confidence and courage to model ourselves on Jesus in word and action.

We also pray for those families with Year 12 VCE students, may their hard work and dedication and that of their family come to fruition in the upcoming exams and beyond. May God keep them safe and guide their choices.

Wishing you all a safe and prayer filled long weekend with your beautiful families.
