Principal's Report

Sincere Thanks
I would like to thank all of the school community for their assistance whilst we filmed 'A day in the life of St. Finbar's' on Tuesday of this week. Special thanks to the parents who made themselves available - James Davies, Cath McCallig and Louise Scales. Well done to our students - Zoe C, Zac Mc, Luca F and Alexia F for their starring roles in the movie as well. Thanks to Mrs Bouris and Mrs Poulter and the Year 6 Leaders who organised the flash mob for the students to perform on the day. If you want a sneak preview of the flash mob then please go to our Facebook site. The movie will be uploaded to our school website and facebook site in a few weeks once it has been finalised.
Speaking with Power and Year 5 Leadership program
I would like to acknowledge the work of our Year 5 & 6 Teachers in the area of student leadership and student voice at St. Finbar's School. The Year 5 students are currently participating in a public speaking course in preparation for their Year 6 leadership opportunities as well as a leadership day later this term.
Today the current Year 6 students held a Leadership Expo for the Year 5's so they can see what the Student Leadership Portfolios entail and what they would like to participate in next year.
Congratulations!
Congratulations to Isabelle F (Year 5) who finished 4th in the Discus competition at the Victorian State Athletics Championships earlier this week. What an amazing effort!
School Closure Days
Please note that St. Finbar's School will be closed tomorrow, Friday 2nd November (Staff Planning for 2019), Monday 5th November (Report Writing Day) and Tuesday 6th November (Melbourne Cup Holiday).
