Memorial Service for Louise Thorpe (Message from Louise's family)
Nearly six months have passed since the Malmsbury farewelling ceremony of our beloved Louise, so we would like to invite you to a service being held in the same spirit at the Christian Community Church at 319 Auburn Rd in Hawthorn on Saturday July 15 this year.
The service will begin at 9am and conclude at 10am. It would be wonderful if you could stay for an hour or two after the service and bring a plate/drink to share.
Louise will be there with us in Spirit!

CRAFT GROUP
Collingwood Crafters – your attention please!
The Beehive Craft group is continuing to meet on Friday mornings in the canteen.
A plan of what we are making next, to support the Spring Fair Made with Love handmade stall, is below and can also be found on the community noticeboard.
There are always plenty of options catering for skill level and time available. You are welcome to dip in and out as interest and availability permits.
To all the many talented artists and makers in our community, we would also love you to think about what you might be able to offer from your own time / stash – a one-off piece to showcase the amazing creative talent that lurks in our school community. In years past, we’ve swooned over hand-dyed pillows, quilts, felt horses/unicorns, dolls, embroidered needlebooks, hand-spun yarn, prints and more.
There are about 10 more weeks before the fair preparations will really ramp up. If you could consider please making something before then, we would be ever so grateful. The stall is always more rich for a wider community contribution.
If you are after themes or patterns, or would like a simple felt sewing kit, we will send information out in the first week of term 3.
Friday 30th June – continue knitting, or cut-out doll clothing from our donated materials, ready for construction day next term.
Coming up early next term – machine sewing day (doll cloths, aprons, dress up capes), felt story sets, extra afternoon workshop making beeswax food wraps, extra weekend workshop hand-dyeing wool felt (limited places)
If you would like to have a kit or a pattern / material to make for the fair at home, please contact Lauren on 0422133655 or email beehivecraftgroup@gmail.com
