Skyline Foundation
Each year, the Skyline Foundation makes a huge difference to talented VCE students from diverse backgrounds. Our 2015 College co-Captain, Julia Ly, received a Skyline Foundation bursary to undertake VCE study which provided her with opportunities to pursue team building programs and a range of study options.
Julia is now undertaking an Engineering degree at RMIT, an excellent role model for other young people.
Division Swimming
The day started off nice and early as a squad of 25 students made their way to the Fitzroy Swimming Pool for the first round of inter-school swimming competition on Thursday the 3rd of March. The weather forecast was set for a sunny day of 27oC so we brought plenty of sunscreen. There was strong competition with every school in the Inner North and Moreland District looking to proceed to the next round.
As the first event started, we settled in for a long day of cheering and spectacular racing. Everyone flew through the pool and the team qualified for 31 individual events, with almost the entire squad moving onto Regionals scheduled to be held on Tuesday the 22nd of March. The end of the day saw all of our relay teams making it to the next round, resulting in a total of 9/9 relays qualifying for Regionals. It was a great day and thank you to all the junior swimmers who covered for the absent rowers!
