Preston District Swimming Carnival Champions!!
The St Raphael's swim team headed over to Northcote Aquatic Centre on Wednesday to compete in the Preston District Swimming Carnival. There was a strong squad assembled from the trials held a fortnight earlier, and all of the students were confident of performing in their chosen races.
With some impressive individual performances to begin the proceedings, everyone's attention quickly turned to the freestyle relays, and the open aged medley relay. Our students gave it their all for the entire day, and were duly rewarded by accumulating the most points across the carnival to be named the Preston District Swimming Champions for 2018, which is a fantastic achievement!
I would also like to thank all the parents who once again came and showed their support to the students, and there would've been some very proud parents at the end of the day! The next stage of the carnival will be held on Tuesday the 6th of March at Northcote Aquatic Centre from 9:30am to 1:30pm. I would like to congratulate the following students who have qualified for the following stage:

Coles Sports for Schools
Just a friendly reminder that our school is still participating in the Coles Sports for Schools program, which has been running since early February. I have noticed that the box, which is located at the front office, is almost full and I appreciate the effort that those have gone to to get the vouchers in the box.
I would love to see us be able to fill that box multiple times over as the more vouchers that we are able to collect, the more sporting equipment we are able to add to the collection for the students PE activities.
Weetbix Tryathlon
Hi

Join our group and save.
Good luck to anyone who is competing. Would love to see photos from the day.
