PDPSSA Cross Country
54 students represented St Raphael’s last Wednesday, May 8th, in the PDPSSA Cross Country at Bundoora Park. With wet weather forecasted, and threatening throughout the morning, the students remained positive and excited to be running through the course, competing against the other schools in our district.
It was great to see the enthusiasm amongst the students as they came charging through the finish line, where we were fortunate enough to have 11 students move through to the next round, with many others unlucky not to be joining them, having just missed the qualification places.
Thank you to all the parents who came out and supported the children as they battled the hills, mud and grass that comes at Bundoora Park, and to Mr Vernal and Ms Pham for their assistance on the day. The next round will be held on Wednesday, 5th June, with the students who have qualified to participate in training sessions in the coming weeks.
Winter Interschool Sports 2019
The 5/6 students have commenced their Interschool Sports campaign for 2019, after having the bye in Round 1. It has been great to hear about how they are representing our school with great pride and respect. We have experienced wins, losses and even a draw so far, with the students eager to experience multiple successes throughout the season.
