Cultural Diversity Week

As we move through the year our Positive Behaviour Team helps the whole school focus on a particular behaviour in the Staughton Student matrix.

For the next 6 weeks we are focussing on the behaviour:                                   

I engage positively with staff and students

Cultural Diversity Week was a perfect opportunity to see this behaviour in action amongst our community.  The week included a number of high profile and successful activities including cultural performances, a soccer world cup, cultural fashion parade, Tastes of the World, and a French film.

Our community was able to engage positively with each other in sharing the many different cultural backgrounds of the families in our community. I would like to thank Vave Fuatapu for her hard work in organizing the events.

I also acknowledge the leadership and support of Kelly Rozynski (EAL Coordinator) and Yvette Medina (Multicultural Education Aide).
