Kitchen Garden Update

The plant growth has certainly slowed down with the cooler weather, but the return of the students has brought the garden to life. The summer crop has now finished and the spent plants have been removed and added to the compost.

We have red cabbage coming along, also broad beans, spinach and a couple of late pumpkins ripening on the vines.

The garlic has been planted and we have also started a few trays of seeds in the green house.

Last Wednesday was a perfect winters day in the garden - beginning with a very cold, heavy frost but ending with a beautiful sunny afternoon.  What better place to be than enjoying the outdoors! Our new banner photo was taken last week. The marigolds are certainly bright and cheery on a winters day.

Happy Gardening.
