Teaching and Learning

We're Back

We have been back on-site for over a week now and it is so lovely to hear all the noises of school in operation again. Our teams have worked extremely hard to plan activities which have supported students settling back into their classroom and the routines of school. Everyone has settled back in so quickly, classes are engaging in normal learning programs, students are interacting with their peers and learning tasks with a smile on their face! Students are currently working on some free writing pieces to show us their skills in creating texts. In the next newsletter we are hoping to publish some of these wonderful pieces of writing our students are creating.

With only three weeks left in the term, teams are now in the process of beginning plans for teaching and learning for term 3. Our Integrated Studies focus changes from Community to Change, and our Secondary PreCAL classes will move on from Safety to exploring Leisure. Teachers are also preparing their Semester 1 student reports and these will be sent home via Compass in the last week of term.

Reflecting on Flexible and Remote Learning

We have spent some time, as the Teaching and Learning team, reviewing the learning we all experienced during the remote and flexible learning phase. There are many positive things to come from this time and we are in the process of harnessing the new learning and expertise we have experienced as teachers and look to embedding this into our processes back on-site in the classroom.

We would also love to hear from our school community to gather some feedback on your experiences with remote and flexible learning. To gather this information we have put together a quick survey through Survey Monkey, if you would like to provide us with feedback simply follow the link. This will also be shared directly with families through Compass
