MasterChef Welcomes Alumni Jo Barrett!

On Monday 18 May, superstar chef and 2006 Doncaster Secondary College graduate Jo Barrett entered the MasterChef kitchen alongside partner in the kitchen and partner in life, Matt Stone.

Jo and Matt are the co-executive chefs at Oakridge Wines in the Yarra Valley. 

Their dishes celebrate the local region, growing many of the ingredients in the restaurant's kitchen garden and supporting local producers. A key aspect of their philosophy is to minimise food waste by using all of a product. 

In the service challenge episode, the chefs went head-to-head, each guiding a team of contestants to create either a sweet or savoury three-course menu.
