To parents and students of Year 11, a huge thank you for your efforts during this period of remote learning.

A Year 11 student survey was conducted last week for some generalised feedback, and students conveyed their positivity and gratitude towards the school community.

We are incredibly lucky to have such a positive, resilient Year 11 cohort. Thanks also to the teachers for going above and beyond in supporting students throughout the last six weeks. We look forward to seeing the students next week!

Year 10s Make their Mark at eSports Comp

Jonathan Tennent, Year 10 Coordinator

Three Year 10 boys recently entered the META High School Esports competition and have had two straight wins so far!

The High School Esports Competition is a national school videogame tournament that could see Doncaster up against the best of the best that Australia has to offer.

Team captain Ethan McL has led his squad to victory with their two straight wins to kick off the ‘Rocket League’ season. Supported by team mates Joshua K and Ethan M, we’re hoping for more wins on the board. As Team Manager I am excited to see where this goes!

Year 10 Parents - Message from the Coordinators

Jonathan Tennent and Asli Dulger

Firstly, it’s been a long and hard road since the beginning of term two. Students and staff have needed to adapt to an entirely new way of learning and teaching. It hasn’t been easy.

Quite often, the focus has been on the teacher and student, but what this period has highlighted is just how important a parent's involvement truly is.

Remote learning would not be nearly as successful without your incredible support and attention.

On behalf of Asli Dulger and myself, we would like to extend a massive thank you to our Year 10 parent community. You have been nothing short of incredible. Your support and care you have shown goes far beyond the call of duty.

We also want to acknowledge our hardworking students during this time. I have seen most Year 10 students put in nothing but 110% effort. They have been incredible at adapting to remote learning and have maintained our College values to the letter during this difficult time.

Asli and I are both incredibly proud to be coordinating such an amazing cohort, and are deeply thankful to be working with such an amazing parent community.

Lastly, we are nearly there. We can see the light at the end of the tunnel! We encourage you to keep up the incredible effort. As always, please don’t hesitate to get in contact with either Asli or myself with any questions or concerns regarding your Year 10 child. We’re here to help.

Getting Ready for On-Site Learning

Mr Dennis
Mr Dennis

We are busy preparing for the return to onsite learning in Senior School and are looking forward to seeing our lovely students again.

As we look ahead, we just want to take a moment to congratulate all senior students on the work they have done so far this term: the feedback from staff is that our senior students have maintained an exceptional work ethic while working remotely.

To support students with a smooth transition back to school, we'd like highlight the following:

If you're worried about coming back - that's OK - we've been through a lot of changes over the last few months.

If you think you need to talk to someone about anything, you can reach out to your DiSCovery Teacher or Year Level Coordinator.

Be aware that some aspects of school will look and feel different to ensure we comply with health guidelines, much like shops and cafes are a bit different at the moment too.

Enjoy the student free day on Monday, and we will see you on Tuesday. Congratulations again on your hard work over the last seven weeks.
