MEN

By David Bevan

Men's VP

The men’s section finally resumed training again this week. Whilst I’m sure it was fantastic for the chaps to see each other again, it is a little disturbing to see how many appeared to have spent isolation getting into character for a role as an extra for the stage production of 'The Revenant.'

For the foreseeable future, men’s training will be held on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays – with players split into 4 different time slots across those days. It is the intention to keep everyone safe, so please keep an eye on the COVID page on the club website. Everyone will have the opportunity to train, with group listing posted regularly on Facebook. Please contact David Bevan or your usual coach if you have any questions on when or how to train over the next few weeks.

Around the grounds, there has also been a few recent milestones. Pennant C alumni and the best-looking McLaughlin brother, Heff, introduced the club to his new baby girl, Pippa. The least good-looking brother, Hugh, interrogated Josh in the inaugural “Hugh and A” segment of Thursday Night Live. Continuing his efforts to overthrow Bruce, Kobe has grown his first Moustache. And finally, Joe Connell has now clocked over 400 kms in quarantine runs!
