Teaching and Learning

In our classrooms...

We are delighted to have students back at school with us across all year levels, ready to engage in onsite quality learning experiences throughout the rest of Term 2.

We are committed to ensuring that the transition back to learning at school is successful for every child. Therefore, both classroom teachers and specialist teachers will spend focused time settling students back into classrooms and connecting remote learning to new learning. Daily routines and classroom agreements are being revisited to support positive collaborative learning environments. Individual goals are also being developed with students to support targeted learning, particularly in the areas of Literacy and Numeracy.

Opportunities for students to reconnect with each other, as well as with their teacher, have been identified and planned for, strengthening positive relationships within classrooms and across the school.

Again, we thank our families for their tireless support during remote and flexible learning. To continue supporting your child's learning, we ask that you...

  • engage in positive conversations about school and learning
  • remain informed of happenings at school by connecting with communication platforms, e.g. Sentral, school iNewsletter
  • continue to support home learning expectations, e.g. signing Reading Diaries, listening to reading, checking in with homework expectations
  • celebrate your child's learning achievements on receiving their Student Report at the end of this term.

We are looking forward to the rest of the term with children filling our classrooms.
