Student Support

Resilient Kids Program/SchoolTV Website

As mentioned in 'Around the School', this program and website are well worth exploring. We don't always have the answers to challenging situations. So any evidence-based support will help inform a positive response that will benefit all.

Please take the time to look into this program and website.

Resilience in our children is strongly influenced by the relationships they have with others. Developing positive relationships helps them feel socially connected and a sense of belonging. Nearly everything we achieve in life comes from:

  • working and communicating well with people
  • combining strengths with others to overcome challenges and build everyone's well-being.

Help your child's communication skills by:

  • using eye contact and welcoming body language
  • being curious by asking, tell me more
  • really listening with eyes, ears and heart
  • expecting to hear something special; respecting what is said

Ask your child, "What are two things you can do to have more positive, face-to-face conversations with others?"
