Primary School Speech Competition

 Grade 6 Winners - Term 3 2022

At Doncaster Primary School we are committed to developing each child’s competency and skills when speaking to their peers, adults and in different contexts. Each year, we hold a public speaking competition where students receive support and feedback to enhance their speaking skills and confidence when delivering a speech. In Year 6, the two winners are selected by the Year 6 students. We would like to congratulate Adam 6J and Minoo 6C for representing our school at the Rotary Club of Templestowe's annual Primary Schools Speech Competition which was held on July 20th.

Adam's speech topic ‘The Best Thing Ever Invented’ which was delivered in an engaging and passionate manner, with clever use of humour and rhetorical questions to involve the audience. Minoo’s speech on ‘It's Okay To Be Different’ was presented in and engaging and creative manner, matched with expression and positive body language to support her arguments.

Congratulations Adam and Minoo!

You represented DPS proudly.
