Careers Outing and Newsletter
Career Outing:
Sixteen lucky senior students were given the opportunity to attend a ‘Taste of Health ‘ tour at Northeast Health on Tuesday, the 26 July. The students were broken into two groups and given a whirlwind tour of the hospital including entry into the new Critical Care Unit. The hospital is currently undergoing multimillion dollar upgrade which will see an increase in beds in each unit.
After the tour the students were given the privilege of going to the education centre at the hospital which is part of Melbourne University. Each group watched a high fidelity SIM Lab demonstration where medical students were doing an assessment. All students had that chance to talk to health care professionals and gain an insight in to live as a health care worker.
Thank you to Di McIntosh and her support staff at Northeast Health for their time arranging this experience for our students.
