Principal's Page

Dear Parents and Carers,

On Tuesday we gathered to celebrate the Memorial Feast of St Joachim and St Anne, the parents of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and the grandparents of Jesus. We give thanks for the gift of grandparents and those special (great) people who often take the place of grandparents. They generously pour upon our students the gift of love.

God our creator,
We ask for your blessing on our grandparents and great people.
They are a valued link between the past and the present.
They are treasured gifts and strong models.
May they be anchors that provide stability and a sense of identity for us.
May their wisdom guide us. May their lived example challenge us.
May their witness to their faith strengthen us.
May they always be surrounded by the love, respect and support of their families.
Lord, bless and empower our grandparents and great people.
Keep them in your love.
Give them your joy and peace each day,
so that they may forever follow your son Jesus.
Amen

For all things at St Joseph's, give thanks!

How does my child receive a Principal's Award?

Class teachers nominate students for Blue Merit Awards and are presented at the weekly assembly.  When five Blue Merit Awards have been received, students are eligible for a Principal’s Award. When students attain their 4th Principal Award, they are awarded a Principal’s Medallion at an assembly.  End of Term awards can be included as part of the 5 awards.
