Lightning Premiership 2022
Softball Report
On Friday 29th July, The Question Marks softball team went to Sacred Heart Primary School in Yarrawonga and played in the Lightning Premiership. We played against Katamatite, Cobram and Tungamah; there were some awesome games, and all of our team mates were respectful and hardworking. Our players took some great catches and consistently hit the ball into the outfield when batting. The Question Marks team won 2 games out of 3 games.
Overall, it was a great experience. A big shout out to all our team members: Angus, Emmy, Lili, Robbie, Caleb and Holly, and our captains Asha and Arianna, for their awesome contributions during each game.

Netball Report
On the 29th of July, the Winter Sports teams made their way to Yarrawonga to play in the Lightning Premiership. The Year 6 netball team, which I was a part of, were all confident in themselves.
Some of the highlights throughout the five games we played were that all the team were good sports towards each other and the opposition as well. We also were able to have good rebounds from the defenders and attackers. Another highlight of the games was that we were good at feeding the ball to our shooters.
Overall, we were all proud of ourselves and how we presented ourselves to the other teams, and also how we played on the court when we competed with the other teams.

Softball Report – MIGHTY BATTERS
The 29th of July was the day of the 2022 Lighting Premiership. All the softballers on the bus to Yarrawonga were talking excitedly, wondering how they would go and who they would play. When we arrived at the Sacred Heart PS, we walked to the field, put our stuff altogether and went to play on the field… ready.
In the first game, we played pretty well. We managed to make a few home runs in both innings. During the second game, our team made a lot of home runs and managed to get the other team out before they scored many home runs. The third and final game was very close and exciting, we got home runs… they got home runs… it was neck and neck! However, the scores at the end of the game were 13-12 their way. It was so close, but our team was still happy we had won two games. We then had lunch, got on the bus and headed back to NPS.
Throughout the day we managed ourselves really well, often hitting the ball into the outfield. Our catching and fielding were excellent.
Although we didn’t play in the grand final, the players enjoyed the day and that’s what really matters.

Year 4-5 Netball Team
Our first game was against Sacred Heart Yarrawonga, and we were excited to get on the court. We had good shooting from Willow, Mia, and Tamika throughout all the games and we also had great defending from Georgie and Harmony. All the team tried their best to get the ball into our goal circle, but sometimes we just couldn’t and the opposition took it. However, our defence usually got it back in the next minute.
In our final game, we kept in front of our opposition players and managed to get more goals than the opposing team, St Joseph’s Numurkah. All of us were mostly taller than the opposite team to us, so it was a great advantage to have.
Overall, our day was enjoyable and fun. It was a great experience to for our players. We all had a blast playing all our games and won one out of five games. Thank you to all the people who organised this day for us.
