Junior Cultural Awareness Session

Last week we had the pleasure of Julie joining us for a cultural awareness session with the junior students. Julie read the students a variety of Dreamtime Stories, which they all loved. They then had the opportunity to look at various paintings that Yorta Yorta people would use to describe different animals and events. The highlight of the session was reading the Dreamtime story , ‘How the Murray was made,’ then acting out the book with a ten-metre-long snake!

Julie will be returning in Term 4 for an aboriginal stone painting session!
