From the Principal's desk

Finally, our new sign is operational! I look forward to being able to keep the community updated with all the upcoming events. We have a busy few weeks ahead of us this term. Next week is Book Week, and we are encouraging all the children (and staff) to come to school dressed as their favourite book character on Friday, August 26th. There will be a book parade at 9.15 am in the morning and parents are welcome to attend. Father's Day is also just around the corner, and we will be holding our annual breakfast on Thursday 1st September. Parents and Friends will also be holding their Father's Day stall on this day. Every Monday this term the children have been practising their athletic skills with Skillzone in preparation for Athletics day on Friday, September 2nd. Also, we have added to the school calendar Family Fun Night in Term 4. This new initiative is planned by the Parents and Friends and will also combine with class performances on the evening.

Last Monday Jacqi Hope and myself presented at the Goulburn Region on our successful Numeracy program we are running at the school. Our school has been identified as achieving strong growth and high performance in numeracy. On Tuesday this week, we will have visitors from other schools visiting us to observe our classes in action. We have also partnered with Numurkah Secondary College to share best practice in Numeracy. So far we have attended a Maths meeting at the College and have had secondary teachers visit us. We look forward to developing the links between our two schools and providing strong transition for our students.

Great to see our Kinder children enjoying their transition sessions with Mr. Wright this week. We are currently taking enrolments for 2023 and will be running weekly transition for the students in Term 4 as well as an information evening early in Term 4.
