Personalised Learning Goals

Improving student learning outcomes, their sense of wellbeing and enhancing teacher practice is always at the forefront of what we do and why we do what we at Miners Rest K-6. We use our Curriculum Days to engage in professional learning to develop our practice to deliver quality teaching and learning experiences for all of our children from Kindergarten to Year Six.

At our last Curriculum Day, we focused on differentiation, to enhance our ability to teach every child at their current stage of learning and reflection, to improve our understanding of what our students’ have learnt and next steps to focus on. Goal setting was also part of this day of professional learning and, as a school, we developed a schoolwide process to conference with individual students and set meaningful and purposeful goals in Literacy and Numeracy.

Take the time to have a conversation with your child at home about their current learning goals in Literacy and Numeracy.
