Term 3 Staffing

During Term 3, I will be taking Long Service Leave and hopefully enjoying a slightly warmer climate north of Ballarat.

In my absence, I would like to announce your Acting Principal will be Kylie Nissen, our current Assistant Principal.  Kylie was successfully appointed late last week, and I know you will be in great hands throughout the term - congratulations, Kylie!

In addition, Sarah Bigmore has been appointed to Acting Assistant Principal for term 3. Congratulations to Sarah, who was appointed yesterday.

I will have a complete update of all/any changes in next week's newsletter.

Pupil Free Days

This Friday is a professional practice day for all staff, on-site at school.  Friday is a pupil-free day, and there is no school offered.

We do have our wonderful OSHC program on offer for the day, so please contact them or our office to enrol, as required.

Our only other pupil-free day remaining for 2022, is the final day of the school year on Tuesday 20th December.

Please also note, this weekend is the Queen's Birthday long weekend, so there is a public holiday on Monday 13th June, also.

Impact of illness being felt

Thank you to students and families for their ongoing support and understanding with illness impacting our school community at the moment.

There is a high number of students and staff away ill.

We are all doing a great job in acknowledging we need to remain at home when unwell.  The impact on staffing and therefore continuation to learning is being challenged, but we are working each and every day at minimising the impact to all.

Please keep up the great work, support  and remain positive.

I acknowledge the First Peoples of the Wathaurong, who are the traditional custodians of the land and waters on which I work and live, and pay my respects to their Elders past, present and emerging.
