Principal’s Message

Mrs Kath Baird

Dear Parents and Carer’s,

Week 8 has arrived and I hope that everyone has had a chance to relax and enjoy the long weekend!

Thank you to everyone who came to our family picnic and Eisteddfod concert last week. Even though the weather was a little fresh, it was a fantastic opportunity to share our creative arts talent here at Sacred Heart.

Congratulations to Matilda and Gian who celebrated their First Eucharist over the weekend. It was lovely to see family, friends and the Parish community share this special time together.

The next meeting of the SHS PTF will be on Tuesday 19 July at 5:30pm. With our inaugural Sacred Heart School/Purtle Plevey Clearing Sale now only six weeks away, everyone is welcome to be involved in the planning for this day. Information to assist us with planning and organisation has gone out today to families. Each family will receive a paper copy information note as well as a Compass alert detailing the online booking sheet for the canteen roster on the day of the clearing sale. Please return the note to school by Monday 20 June so we can continue with our organisation schedule. Details about the clearing sale and how to enter items will be posted on the school Facebook page, advertised in the green flyer, The Land and local radio. Also, please continue to spread the word about how people can contribute to the sale to support our school, with the school receiving commission from the sale.

Marriage and Family Week will be celebrated next week with the theme of “Family love: A vocation and a path to holiness”. We will be celebrating Mass on Wednesday 22 June at 12:30pm - all welcome!

A special mention to Harry Stevens who celebrated his 8th birthday on Monday and Ava Stevens who has turned 10 today.

Kindergarten enrolment meetings will be held early in Term 3. If you know of anyone who is looking to enrol for Kindergarten next year, please encourage them to contact me at school so I can include them in meetings next term.

Take care
