Winter Concert - limited seats remaining at Dalton Hall

Our annual Winter Concert for students from Year 8 and below will be presented on Wednesday 15 June, commencing at 7.00pm.  The focus of our Winter Concert is on giving our younger students an opportunity to perform in large and small ensembles.  

 

Groups involved include the Junior Percussion ensemble, Suzuki Intermezzo Strings, Klefs Choir, Years 5 to 6 Choir, Junior Strings, Kadenza Concert Band, Junior Guitar ensemble and various soloists.

Year 5 Band Concert - Dalton Hall

On Thursday June 16, the Year 5 Band program will be given the opportunity to play their band instruments in a concert setting to a supportive audience.  

 

Students will be able to demonstrate their abilities and show how much they've developed these skills from the start of the year.

 

The concert commences at 11.30am and will conclude at 12.00pm. Bookings are not required. We look forward to seeing everyone at the performance.

Concerto Concert – 'The Edge' Federation Square

On the evening of Wednesday June 22, the Kilvington Concerto Concert showcasing Kilvington’s most talented music soloists will premiere at Federation Square’s Deakin Edge.

 

The program will include concerto performances on piano and violin, and VCE music performance students will perform instrumental pieces and repertoire.  

 

The Kilvington Orchestra and Chamber Strings will be supporting our soloists, with special guest appearances from past staff and students. The Finale will see a massed choir performing Vivaldi’s '1st Movement from Gloria in D Major'.

Years 2 and 3 String Concert - Dalton Hall

The Years 2 and 3 String Performance will be held on Tuesday 21 June in Dalton Hall, commencing at 11.30am and concluding at approximately 12.00pm. 

 

Students have learnt a variety of pieces with basic technique on their instruments and have developed many new skills. We look forward to hearing them perform as a string ensemble!

Friday Afternoon Soirees 2022

Soirees are held in PVC7 from 3.45 to 4.30pm. All music, speech and drama students (ELC to Year 12) are welcome to perform as are students who attend lessons outside of School. 

 

All performances must be booked in either by writing your name and details of your performance on the Friday Afternoon Soiree forms pinned up on the notice board in the Music Building foyer, or by emailing Ms Carmel Slater (Head of Keyboard and Theory) at slaterc@kilvington.vic.edu.au

Soiree dates: Friday June 17 and June 24.

The National Theatre Drama School 

The National Theatre Drama School offers Youth Drama classes for all ages and skill levels in a fun and supportive learning environment.

 

Classes range from the exploration and development of voice to movement, improvisation and character development skills to film and TV camera techniques.
