Signorina Jones and Signorina Nicolosi

CIAO, BUONGIORNO

Here’s a snapshot of what we’ve been up to in Italiano so far this year…

The Year 3 students (Rooms 24, 25, 26, 28, 23) learnt about Pasqua (Easter) in Italy and made their own colomba (dove). They read the book Tomasina ha sempre fame and then wrote their own version of the story– completely in Italiano!

Students in Year 4 (Rooms 10, 12, 27) have been learning about la scuola -school subjects, timetables, and how to tell the time. Room 11 (4/5) studied the geography of Italy, and each student researched a region of Italy and presented their information to the class- molto interessante!

The Year 5 students in Rooms 6 and 7 have been learning all the rooms of la casa and how to describe where they live. Room 5 (5/6) students have been busy creating their amazing Maschera which captures the colour and fun of Carnevale!

Students in Rooms 1, 2, 3, and 4 (Year 6) have been hard at work developing their Italian grammar. They are whizzes at conjugating simple verbs and have had fun using the iPads to create ‘word art’ graphics to share their likes, dislikes, and hobbies.

Bravissimi ragazzi!
