In Week 6, Burrendah PS students were fortunate to have CycleSense come into the school and safety check student bicycles. Burrendah had a record amount of students riding to school on the day. A big thank you to the bike mechanics for their hard work.
Bike Education lessons began in Week 7, Chris and Tracey from CycleSense were fantastic with the students from Year 2, Rooms 19 and 22. The students were taught how to wear their helmets correctly and practised various bike riding drills. The lessons were also valuable for those students who were learning how to ride a bike for the very first time. With the help from Binu from the “Your Move” Program and the Year 11 Students from WSHS’s LifeCare Program the Year 2 Students were well catered for.
Year One and Year Three students completed their AFL program by playing a game. Alice, the Coach from East Fremantle Football club was amazed at how skilled they were after the four Week Program.
It was fantastic to see the Year 4s from Room 27 teaching the Pre-Primary students Fundamental Movement Skills. The students are amazing with the PPs continually motivating and encouraging the students throughout the PE
