Selamat Siang semuanya! 

Good Afternoon Everyone! 

The Specialist Team welcomes you to all to Term 3! We are so excited to see you all and can't wait for the term ahead.

In our final week of Term 2 students showcased their talents in Mount Pleasant's Got Talent. From singing, dancing to magic acts - there was no shortage of entertainment and talent from our MPRPS students!

We were blown away by the confidence and perseverance shown by the Junior Solo and Group acts, as they performed in front of peers and teachers. Congratulations to all participants and a huge Terima Kasih to Mrs Andrews for her organisation of this event! 

As part of the Physical Education Unit, the 5/6 students attended the Sports Gala Day to compete in Netball, T-ball , Handball and AFL. Students have been practising their skills in these sports during the week and made us all very proud when displaying fairness and perseverance when competing against schools and representing MPRPS. A huge Terima Kasih to Mrs B and the Senior Teachers for their organisation and attendance of the day!

This week in Visual Arts, students are working on our whole school project, 'The Boab Tree'. We are drawing from inspiration from nature and Walmajarri Artist, John Prince Siddon, who famously paints on a variety of textures such as bark, leather and leaves. 

Keep an eye out for our whole school Boab tree which will be on display in coming weeks!

We have such an exciting term ahead and look forward to celebrating Indonesian Day in August! Keep an eye out for reminders in the newsletter in the lead up to Indonesian Day next month!
