Dance

VICTORIAN STATE SCHOOL SPECTACULAR.  What an amazing way to finish off a jam packed term! The Saltwater VSSS22 dancers absolutely smashed their performance to 10,000 people at this years epic showcase at John Cain Arena last Saturday. 3,000 students of all skills and talent filled the room to two sold out shows, and showed the crowds what the future generation of Melbourne has to offer! The vibe was amazing, the show absolutely spectacular, and the response and feedback was exceptional.                                                                                             Our Saltwater VSSS dancers represented themselves, their family's, our school and community to the highest level, while gaining attention and respect from others reflecting on their behaviour and work ethics. They worked so hard and were so principled and well behaved throughout the gruelling 3 long days of technical and dress rehearsals, while smashing out two full shows on top of that! Proud is an understatement that us as a school, and community feel, as we watched our students rise above their own expectations and reach new heights.                                                             Our Principal Miss Daniali got to see first hand their performance and our students showcasing their talents, and was absolutely blown away by what she saw! Both the dancers and choir were outstanding leaving her beaming with pride and words of praise.                                                                                                    This experience gave the students so much knowledge and insight to so much, and helped them realise what the rewards of hard work, discipline, dedication, and commitment can look and feel like. The students mentioned it showed them that even though at times we may feel like it gets too much, or we may feel like giving up, that the reward at the end makes the journey, the struggle, and hard work all worth while and so much more, and they would do it all again in a heartbeat!                                                The show, process and experience has been one they will remember and cherish, but the lessons, knowledge and skills learnt will be the most valuable. Congratulations Saltwater students...we are so proud!
