Scoresby Online Access Resources (SOAR)

The English faculty have developed a range of online resources to support Year 7 and 8 with their text response work over the holidays. Titled SOAR, these resources can be accessed via Compass’ ‘Resources’ tab and include video tutorials, PowerPoints, planning templates and rubrics. The video tutorials provide narrated step-by-step instructions and explain to students how to write a successful text response using the school-based resources. Currently the resources are best viewed on PC but there are plans to support viewing on iPads.

Looking into the future, the English faculty will be developing resources to support students with narrative writing, persuasive writing and language analysis as well as supporting access via iPad. If you have any questions or ideas for online resources.
