Days for Girls

 Hosted by O'Connor

O'Connor Catholic College will be hosting workshops for Days for Girls this term in the Textiles space. Days for Girls is a global movement that prepares and distributes sustainable menstrual health solutions to girls who would otherwise miss school during their monthly periods.

We are fortunate enough to have started up an Armidale Chapter, which has been running for 3 years now.

We have a facebook page called Days for Girls Armidale NSW Australia Team. We are more than happy for anyone to come along to the workshops to learn more. You do not need to be able to sew as there are many jobs that need to be done in order to make the components and put the kits together. It is a nice social event also. It is social justice in action, and community involvement at its best.

For more information feel free to chat with Mrs Channon.

Day for Dolly

Today year 10 student Makaala Dodd gave a presentation to the entire school today to acknowledge Day for Dolly. What an inspiration you are Makaala...thank you for looking out for others in our community.
