2018 School Production

The Addams Family

The high from production has died down, we are feeling happy but sad that these special days have come to an end. An excellent audience this year has made our confidence and commitment, to achieve the best, attainable. All of the support and encouragement that was given has helped us achieve an incredible and enjoyable production that created laughs across the theatre. Our ad libs and made up lines made everything more realistic.

This years audience made our energy rise by 100% and had us beaming from the minute we walked onto the stage to the second we walked off. We had incredible staff and helpers who dreamt up beautiful designs and lighting techniques, and others who built and made our every wish come true. Laughing was abundant in all of the rehearsals and even through the silence backstage we would let out the occasional giggle. While all of us immersed in production are sad because the show has finished and we are losing some of our outstanding year 12 performers, we are extremely excited for a breathtaking show in the future.

On behalf of all the people involved and devoted to making an unforgettable production I thank Mrs Williams, Miss Matthys, Mrs Evans, Mr Benson, Mrs Claringbold, Mrs Collard, Mrs Swannell and  Mrs Paterson. Our wonderful teachers that helped with all costumes, sets, set building, lighting, photography, sound and of course the directing of our show. A shout out to all of the main cast, for your outstanding and brave attitude towards your roles. To the cast, for your devotion and your non-stop helping to encourage others. Amy Anderson and Heather Mackay, our amazing set designer, music, lighting and backstage crew manager. And of course the person who made our characters speak through dance, Sam Howlett, and made the harmonised voices sound magical through her training and guidance.

This year’s production is one to beat and to treasure and remember.
