Kildare Music Program
Kildare Catholic College offers individual and group tuition in voice and a wide range of musical instruments. The cost of tuition for many of the instruments offered are covered by the College (see below for more details).
Benefits that come with learning an instrument at the College
- Learn to play an instrument of your choice
- Lessons scheduled during the school day
- Play or sing in an ensemble or choir with friendly like-minded peers
- Perform at eisteddfods in Albury, Leeton and Wagga
- Attend local concerts with other students
- Play in the orchestra for the Year 7 Orchestra Day
- Perform at school functions
- Undertake external examinations through the Australian Music Education Board.

Private Instrumental Lessons
Riverina Conservatorium and private tutors visit the College during the week to teach students on a range of instruments and voice. Tuition rates vary depending on the provider.
Ensembles and Choir
We look forward to your child joining our growing and improving group of enthusiastic and friendly students. The following ensembles have been established at Kildare.
- Senior Choir
- Wind Ensemble - woodwind and brass players
- Chamber Ensemble - String players
- Rock Bands - Students are also invited to join a rock band and receive coaching and mentoring from the music staff. Currently Kildare has 4 rock bands in Year 8, 9 and 10. We will be seeking expressions of interest this term from enthusiastic students who would like to form a band in year 7.
Enrolment
- Print the enrolment form from or request a hard copy from one of the music staff.
- Contact the teacher of the preferred instrument and schedule a time.
- Complete the enrolment form and return to the college.

Instrument Hire
Kildare has a wide range of good quality instruments that can be hired for $40 a term. If you need to hire an instrument, please indicate this on the enrolment form.

All students pay a $12.50 administration fee each term (or $50 per year) they are involved in the program. This fee allows students to be involved in as many
