The 'Mr Russo World Series Peer Mentoring Handball Competition'
Last Friday our student leaders Dan Hall, Jack Moran and Nikita Papastamatis led the MindMatters event, The Mr Russo World Series Peer Mentoring Handball Competition, and I am pleased to say a good time was had by all Peer Mentors and Mentees.
In the spirit of Big Wave Waterman and Surfer Eddie Aikau (whose philosophises that the best surfer in the water is the one having the most fun), the awards of Best Connected Handball Player on the day went to: 1st Evan Ausling, 2nd Declan Fitzgerald and 3rd Will Pearce, although all participants in the Peer Mentoring Program, and Handball, were the real winners.

A reminder that Boxercise is held every Thursday and Friday morning at 7.30am in the Junior School playground. This MindMatters initiative provides friendship, fun and fitness to strengthen students’ resilience and general sense of wellbeing. Classes are free to all students.
Please be informed that Mr Russo, our College Lead Counsellor, is currently on leave. However Ms McCarthy and Ms Gill, two trained and highly qualified members of our Counselling Team, have kindly made themselves available to ensure we have counselling expertise each day of the school cycle.
Pastoral care programs typically run by Mr Russo (such as Boxercise and Peer Mentoring, including the upcoming and much awaited Handball World Series) will continue, supported by our lead students and staff working together.
