Welcome Mass

The first P&F Event for 2018,  the Welcome Mass, was held last Saturday night. It was fantastic to welcome and meet the many new families into the St Pius X community.  The night would not have been the success it was without the behind-the-scenes planning and organising of Andrena Brewer and Louise Johnson.  A huge thank you to both ladies, as the night ran like clockwork.

Special thanks go to our band of volunteers who helped set up, cook and act as wait staff … from the P&F Committee members Rodger Paino, Sarah Gillard, Paul Hunt, Cassie Buono and James Makarewicz to our new helpers Natasha and James Boswell and Fran and Simon Barnier. Thank you for your assistance on the night - it was greatly appreciated.

First P&F Meeting for 2018 - Monday 5th March

We look forward to welcoming many new faces to our first P&F meeting on Monday 5th March at 7.30pm in the Sarto Centre. The P&F is an integral part of the school and supports the school in many ways through extra curricular activities, sporting clubs and enrichment programs. The P&F at St Pius X College is an inclusive, active and engaged team, always open to new ideas and feedback.

We are all busy people, so with the SPX P&F you contribute when you can, in the way that best fits your family, be it by being part of a social coordinator team for an event or volunteering on the day/night for a couple of hours once or twice a year. The P&F meetings are held once per term and are a fantastic way of staying across current issues or developments at the school and clubs.

We are planning for future P&F teams for 2019 onwards, as for many of the Committee members this is their last year.  So if you are interested in any of the current positions please feel free to contact the P&F President, Braelen Zwart, or any of the Committee members to discuss what’s involved, or come along to the meeting on the 5th March to see how a P&F meeting is run. The P&F is only as good as the team and the volunteers who support it.

P&F Cocktail Party Friday 6th April 

Put the date in your Diary, start planning your outfit and book your Uber! The Annual St Pius X College Cocktail Party is on again.  It is always a fun night and a great way to meet new people whether at the bar or on the dancefloor.

If you love organising social events and have some great ideas on how to make last year's event bigger and better this year, then come and join the social coordinating team which brings this event to life. It’s not onerous - a few phone calls before the event, decorating on the day … so if you are interested and would like to find a way to be involved in the school please contact Braelen Zwart (Braelen.zwart@petbarn.com,au).

URGENT: Call For Class Parents - Years 8 and 9

We are still in need of parents in Years 8 and 9 to volunteer as 2018 year-group representatives or class parents.  Please contact Cassie Buono via cassiebuono@gmail.com if you are able to help.  Cassie coordinates the class reps and will give you all the information and help you require for this important but simple and fun task!
