Six skill sets that help students succeed

I would like to draw your attention to an written by Michael Grose, chief writer of ‘Parenting Ideas’ and best-selling author of ten books as well as an award-winning speaker.  This article highlights six crucial skill sets that contribute to a student’s success over the long term

  1. Friendship skills
  2. Organising skills
  3. Optimism skills
  4. Coping skills
  5. Relaxation Skills
  6. Relationship Skill

These are skill sets that we neglect if we narrow our focus on numeracy, literacy, performing arts and other academic skill sets.  They are also skill sets that can be taught, or at least drawn out, when we as adults know what to look for.

Boxercise is back in 2018 - Year 5 to 12

A reminder that Boxercise is held every Thursday and Friday morning at 7.30am in the Junior School playground.  This MindMatters initiative provides friendship, fun and fitness to strengthen students’ resilience and general sense of wellbeing.  Classes are free to all students.
