COMBINED SCHOOLS' CHOIR

On Sunday November 18 The Combined Schools Choir performed at ACU as part of a huge ensemble to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of Kristallnacht, (the Night of Broken Glass). It was a very long and exciting day with the children at ACU from 10:30 in the morning until 7:30 that night, but it was a wonderful experience for the children.  I was so proud of their performances which brought most to tears and of their behaviour throughout the entire day.  They made new friends with children from St Matthew’s, cooperated, followed directions and had lovely manners.

Congratulations to all the children who performed on Sunday and also to those students who are part of the choir but were unable to attend this event.  They have all worked very hard over recent weeks to achieve this.

Here's some feedback from one of the mums Maryanne, whose daughter, Siearra was part of our choir.

The Night of Broken Glass performance created by ACU under the guidance of Warren Wills was an exceptional and moving performance.  This production commemorates the 80th anniversary of Kristallnacht and the actions of the courageous human rights activist, William Cooper.  The St Fidelis Combined Schools choir were amazing on the day.  They sung beautifully and their performance was seamless.  Thanks to all the hard work and dedicaton of Michele Hedley and Michael Travers, it was an honour for our daughter to be part of this musical and a memorable experience for her to be proud of.
