Student Attendance 

As the weather gets colder it gets harder to get out of bed and start the day. 

At school we have noticed an increasing number of student absences and lateness to school as we approach the school holidays. 

Please remember that if your child is unwell and staying home a Compass entry must be made for the day. Every parent has access to the Compass portal and can add student absences. An email to the class teacher is appreciated but a Compass entry must also be made on the day. 

It is important that children arrive on time for school. Teachers plan lessons carefully to start at 8:40am and children who are late often miss vital instructions for upcoming tasks. Arriving at school on time also allows children to feel comfortable and settled for the day ahead. If your child is reluctant to come to school in the morning, please reach out to your child's class teacher or Mrs Edwards.

Sound Waves spelling is continuing this week and many classes have included this week's focus in homework spelling programs. 

Holy Family has been provided with a CLASS CODE which allows students to access online games and resources for the phoneme/grapheme for the week.
