END OF TERM BBQ LUNCH – Wednesday June 21

With a short term nearly over, it is BBQ Lunch time again! Please return your order forms by Friday June 16 at the latest. Leona D (Nina and Margot’s mum) and Craig D (Addy’s dad) will be looking after your End of Term BBQ lunches. Thank you to Leona and Craig in advance. Also thank you to Woolworths Prahran and Leo at Mediterranean Butchers for supporting us with the supplies for the day.

All money raised from the day will go towards cooking equipment for the Food Tech Room.

DONUT FRIDAY – 3.30pm at the Food Tech Window

Bring along your $1 coins and enjoy a fresh cinnamon donut after school on a Friday afternoon at the Food Tech Window. Even purchase a few more to take home to the family for a yummy dessert!

TOASTIES TUESDAY LUNCH ORDERS

Thank you to Denise, Vanessa B and Elvira for cooking the toasties every single Tuesday and a thank you to Courtney and Vannesa F for preparing the toasties each week. We wouldn’t have been able to do it without Woolworths Prahran, who donate all the supplies we use to make the toasties every week.

BUNNINGS WOODWORK AND CRAFT WORKSHOPS

You may have heard from your kids that last Tuesday and Wednesday we were fortunate enough to have two of the staff from Bunnings Hawthorn visit WPS and conduct workshops with each class. Prep and Grade One students did a fun craft activity and the Grade 2-6 students constructed their very own toolbox. The kids had a blast!

We are so appreciative to Ebony and Adem who were so patient and kind as they gave the students an opportunity to learn some great practical skills. We are grateful that Bunnings offer these workshops and agreed to organise and run this fantastic incursion for us.

CADBURY CHOCOLATE FUNDRAISER

We have some Cadbury Variety Jumbo Boxes and are looking for parents or carers who could possibly do some fundraising for the school by selling chocolates in their workplaces. Can you help us out with this? Please contact Elaina on 0407 431 429 for further information.

Fundraising Event Planners Needed

Have you thought of a great fundraising idea that you would like to organise for WPS? We would love to hear from you and are happy to support you in getting it organised!

We would also like to thank Coles Prahran for their generous weekly donation again in Term Two. Some of the support staff and parents are running some small cooking classes each week which we hope to expand and continue in the future. Amber and the team at Coles Prahran have happily offered to cover the cost of purchasing the ingredients each week. We are so appreciative of their constant support to WPS.

CAKE STALL coming up on 23 June!

The beloved end of term cake stall will be held when school finishes at 2:30pm on Friday 23 June.

We need parents and carers to help by providing lots of yummy treats to sell - Cupcakes, biscuits, jelly, slices, sherbet, fruits, savoury treats or anything else that children will love.

Please deliver directly to the school kitchen on the day either from 8:30-9am or by 1pm in the afternoon. Remember to include a full list of ingredients to help those with allergies or who avoid certain foods (ie: animal or dairy products). Please label containers if you want them back.

Items will be priced between $1 and $4 and all money raised will go towards new art supplies. Don't forget to bring some cash on the day.
