Foundation to Year 2 News 

We’ve recently purchased an exciting new range of Take Home Readers for the 1/2 students. 

We are slowly transitioning toward decodable Take Home Readers to align with the Little Learners Love Literacy phonics approach happening daily in all F-2 classrooms. 

These readers have been extensively researched and tested in educational settings and have proven high quality outcomes for students.

Last Wednesday Ebony and Adem from Hawthorn Bunnings visited us at Windsor PS. The Prep and Year 1 students had some crafty fun creating sand art pictures and the Year 2’s designed and hammered together wooden toolboxes to take home. 

All materials and staff time were very generously donated by Hawthorn Bunnings. Thank you so much! And a VERY big thank you to Elaina Zanker (Clay’s mum) for arranging the workshops with Bunnings Hawthorn.
