Principal's Report
It is an exciting time to be part of the Windsor Primary School community. The amount of time and energy that has gone into delivering our facilities re-build has ensured that our community has access to amazing government facilities now and for generations to come. These facilities now make Windsor a school in demand.
However, long before the facility upgrade, we were consistently delivering in other areas. Over the years our programs have been developed and modified not only to meet the general educational initiatives of the times, but to also cater for the diverse individual needs that our local community demands. This balance is challenging, but so very important to the educational development of every student who lives in our community.
The most significant factor to our successes is the quality of our staff, not only as professionals but as quality people. While there are several professional capacity boxes to tick to work at Windsor, the personal traits, values, mindset and ethics that our staff demonstrate are crucial ingredients of the people we want working at Windsor.
I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge and thank every staff member who is contributing to our success in 2023. Being able to carry on instructing a class of students with so many distractions from the rebuild project and to have the flexibility to respond to power or Wi-Fi suddenly dropping out, access points constantly changing, and timetables being modified does take resilience. No matter their role, every staff member has had to put up with this at some time.
To our experienced teaching staff who have taken on new roles in 2023, to our new teaching staff who have responded so well to the early challenges of their Windsor journey (and made staffing transitions seamless), to our talented, dedicated and so, so, so patient classroom education support staff, and to finally, our administration staff who have taken on roles over the past three and half years that they would have never imagined would have been required of them – both Simone and I thank you. Your dedication, enthusiasm and the role modelling that you provide our students is top class.
Term Two soon comes to an end. I would like to wish all families a safe and wonderful winter student break. While it has been a highly successful term for the school in general, I hope there have been worthy personal successes for each student and their family as well.
