Victorian Premiers' Reading Challenge
Victorian Premiers' Reading Challenge
The Victorian Premiers’ Reading Challenge is well underway and Monty students are doing an incredible job logging in and adding books to their tally.
Since starting the challenge, Monty students have read more than 3200 books and published over 350 book reviews. We already have 35 students who have completed the set challenge, including two students who have read over 100 books and counting!
Children from Foundation to Year 2 are encouraged to read or ‘experience’ 30books with their parents and teachers. Children from Year 3 to Year 6 are challenged to read 15 books.
All children who meet the Challenge will receive a certificate of achievement signed by the Victorian Premier and former Premiers. We will also have some bonus prizes and awards for students and classes showing an incredible appetite for reading!
At this stage it is a very close race, with 1B and 1C both having read over 500 books as a class, with 2C closing in with nearly 400 books logged. In the senior school 3/4C are well in front with over 420 books to their names.
Keep up the amazing reading!!!
