Counting the Project Compassion money raised for Caritas...

The following was presented at a recent assembly...

Assembly - Oskar, Matilda, Tom and Eliza (SRC)

Oskar:

The SRC would like to say a very big thank you to the St Cecilia’s students and families for the money raised for Project Compassion.

The SRC spent one of our meetings counting all the donations. There was a lot of money to count. We are very happy to announce the total amount of money the St Cecilia’s community raised for Project Compassion this year was…

Matilda:

$1,395.

Well done!

Tom:

This much needed money will help towards supporting people around the world. Ways it may help include:

$500 can provide tree planting and gardening around school premises in Nepal.

$250 covers the weekly supermarket order to provide healthy

meals for the young people who come to programs at Baabayn.

Eliza:

$50 can provide specialised rehabilitation devices for people living with disabilities in Vietnam.

$7 can buy a chicken for a family to rear in Zimbabwe.
