House Swimming Carnival

Almost the only sports event we've been able to run this year.

Hannah Williams and Zeke Lazaro - Sport Captains

On Tuesday 3rd March Donvale Christian College held their annual House Swimming Carnival for 2020. Although the weather itself was gloomy and cold the spirits were high as everyone eagerly filled races and gained points for their house. It was great to see everyone giving their races their best shot, whether they had a natural God-given talent to swim or not; giving their best efforts to earn points for their house. It was great to see the smiles on the faces of those who broke records, placed or finished a challenging race.

Not only was participation amongst the students thriving but also amongst the teachers, specifically Mrs Beulah McCulloch who attended her 30th swimming carnival for Donvale.  It was fantastic to see the house captains working hard to fill races and organise their house. They all did a phenomenal job leading their houses, organising chants and supporting their swimmers. Congratulations to Jed Miatke and Jana Shields, Cook House captains who worked tirelessly on the day and in the weeks leading up to house swimming which saw them take home 1st place.
