Careers
Planning for the next stage of school and beyond is a process that continues for all students across the years. Regardless of our time in remote learning, planning for the future gives students a chance think in different ways. Rather than waiting to see what happens next, this is an opportunity to ask "what do I want to happen next?". We will be assisting students at their particular point in schooling during the year, but there is a lot that they can do themselves and with their families.
Careers News is a resource for all students and to help with time organisation I will usually provide a list of topics in each issue. For example, in this issue there is an item about apprenticeships, a feature on Radiation Therapy, and a focus on courses related to animals and conservation. The newsletter is issued each week. As always, students and parents can contact me to discuss anything in the newsletter. Alternatively, a topic might not be covered during the year and students might want to find out more. Please note that all Year 10,11 and 12 students are emailed a copy of the newsletter.

Phil Newnham
Careers Counsellor
The Career Newsletter has a large range of events, opportunities and articles. We encourage you to look at these each week as a family. It's not too early for Year 10 and 11 to be exploring options, as experience tells us that the earlier you start the better prepared you will be. Students receive a copy of the newsletter through their school email. Please remember that you can always make an appointment to see Mr Newnham in the Careers Office to have a chat about ideas, concerns and options.
