Parent's Association

May Meeting

This was our first Zoom Meeting and it was a success.

Kevin Murphy gave us a report of the improvements that have been undertaken around the school since remote learning began.  This included:

  • Refurbishment of the General Office
  • 20 new crow proof rubbish bins
  • Library reorganised and painted
  • New surface for the COLA
  • Classrooms and Assistant Principal offices repainted

We were able to provide feedback as to how remote learning was going from a parents perspective.  Although we had questions, our feedback was overwhelmingly positive.

The Presentation Ball  is a key fundraiser for the Parent's Association with funds going towards providing the additional classroom materials that give our students the edge.  We discussed new ideas for this going ahead, however with the unknown about restrictions and the multiple rehearsals that are required to make this event the success it is it seems it is unlikely to go ahead.  We are disappointed for the students who were so looking forward to it.

Our finances are in good shape so the usual process of Learning Areas submitting requests for grants will go ahead but at a later date.

The next meeting is  June 10.
