SRC Student Leadership

At Viewbank College, we are committed to building ‘Respectful Relationships Every Day’. We pledge to continue to build a respectful environment that is inclusive, positive, safe and caring, promotes empowerment and strives for equity. We will honour the diversity of everyone in our community and embrace every background, experience, gender, sexuality, ability, age, culture and religion.

We are looking for participants from all year levels who are interested in creating panel artwork for the new STEAM Courtyard, behind the art rooms, that represents the message in our pledge and depicts what “diversity means to them”. 

We ask anyone who is interested to draw or create a rough sketch of their idea and to email it to Ms Stein at Laura.Stein@education.vic.gov.au, with any materials included that you would need to complete the artwork, (as the art team will be providing materials and a space at school for you to do so). 

It is estimated that the artwork will be 1 metre by 1 metre and we are looking for around 5-7 designs. 

This is an opportunity to provide a rough sketch of any ideas that students have encompassing diversity at our school. It is planned that the diversity team will allocate a time once a week next term to complete the artwork, but further instructions will be given to those with chosen designs next term.
