Insect Hotels

The very abrupt and significant change in our learning environment encouraged some fast thinking and brainstorming regarding what could be an engaging design problem that could offer the opportunity for students to delve into the design process and allow them to come up with a solution to a problem, using their independent initiative and creativity.

It’s been a steep learning curve for everyone involved, both students and teachers and the online/remote activities and opportunities for students to really get some problem solving skills happening has seen some incredibly innovative and interesting approaches to achieving solutions to the Insect Hotel Design Idea.

Creative and Critical Design thinking skills have been absolutely put in motion through this project.

Students have used a wide range of presentation software such as Canva and Lucidchart to present their information. And they have put some excellent effort into the production task.
